Description and Learning Objectives:
Join us for this timely presentation and interactive discussion about common ethical issues that HR professionals face on a regular basis. Understanding the important role that ethics plays in human resources administration and people leadership is critical for any business - and a "must-have skill" for any HR practitioner.
As the human resources function deals with a variety of ever-changing ethical challenges related to employees, HR professionals must be aware of the pitfalls that can irreparably damage an organization's reputation and/or threaten its financial sustainability if not handled properly. An organization's ethics defines its culture and reputation and provides employees a moral compass for behaving within ethical boundaries when faced with business, professional, or personal challenges. HR professionals are in a unique strategic position to ensure that their organizations maintain cultures that demand ethical behavior.
In this webinar, you will learn to identify common ethics issues arising in HR, gain an understanding of how ethical behavior affects teamwork, productivity, and the organization's public image, and learn how to "spot issues" and respond appropriately and proactively to ethical challenges. We will work through three hypothetical (but fact-based) scenarios together to better understand how HR would/should handle specific ethical dilemmas, what our obligations are when addressing the situations, and what the specific challenges we face in doing so.
This session will also assist HRCI-certified professionals in acquiring one ethics credit toward your current recertification cycle!
